The brief

The founders had a brand guide and a booking page on Playtomic, but no website. They wanted one page, no tabs to click through and nothing that read like an article. It had one job: get people booking.

What I made of it

A dark, cinematic page in their black and white, where only the courts are blue. Every button goes straight to Playtomic, and one follows you down the page on a phone. Padel and pickleball are two words you tap between. An email sign-up builds a list before opening, and the FAQs answer what the front desk would be asked. Behind it, the SEO is set up for people searching for padel in Castle Hill: search titles and descriptions, details Google can read (address, hours, booking and FAQs), a sitemap and link previews.

The brief

PlayPoint Blacktown was reopening as a badminton centre on 19 October, and they needed a website ready for it. The logo had to stay. Everything else could change.

What I made of it

The brand looked dated and the website was convoluted: too much information, every sport at once and four different booking buttons. I uplifted the whole brand to feel younger and fresher, and gave it an angle: first-class badminton. Volt against Court Blue makes it look sporty, with new headline type and guidelines the team can follow. The website now says one thing, with a single Book a court button. It went live on their own domain in time, with launch social posts and print flyers in the same look.

  2. That weekI design it

You see the direction early, so there are no surprises at the end.

  3. Weeks one to threeI build it with AI

Mobile-first, quick to load and set up to be found on Google.

  4. Launch dayIt goes live

On your own domain. Host it with me and you can ask for changes in plain English.

Hi, I’m Sia

Sia Kafle

I trained in law, then spent four years in risk and audit in private equity, looking at businesses the way investors do: what’s working, and what’s quietly costing customers. I design for that first.

Then I left corporate to build my own business. Along the way I taught myself design and AI web development, and now I build websites for real, operating businesses.
